There are no words to appreciate the musical legendary A.R.Rahman. He takes Tamil language to world stage. The word he said in Tamil in the Oscar function was YELLA PUGHAZHUM IRAIVANUKKE (All praise to God). If I try to glorify about A.R, then I have to create a new blog even though it won’t be sufficient. So in this post I posted some information about him and also posted some rare pictures. This post is dedicated to Oscar winner A.R.Rahman.

Master Of James Bond

This picture is taken around 1899, later to assume the false identity of Sidney Reilly

As we all know the best movie series in Hollywood is James Bond. But most of us do not know the one who was the real cause for the creation of James Bond character. James bond character was created in the year 1953 by Ian Fleming. This character was admired by the real James bond, Sidney George Reilly.

Sidney Reilly at an experienced age

Georgi Rosenblum (Reilly) was born in Odessa, on 24th March 1874. In his young age, he was for carrying messages for a group called Friends of Enlightenment. In Brazil he adopted the name Pedro. He saved the life of his group when angry natives attacked them, so British agent major Fothergill awarded him £1500 and arranged him a passport and a trip to Britain where he adopted the name Sidney Rosenblum. An intelligent man who could speak seven languages, Rosenblum was recruited by MI6 and given the name Sidney Reilly. Reilly was sent to Moscow in 1918, by his own account to assassinate Lenin or attempt to overthrow the Bolsheviks. But Lenin escaped from the attempt and so Reilly returned to England.

Picture taken after the death of Reilly to put full stop about his rumors

In 1925, he was sent to spy on the communist government in Russia. OGPU agents arrested Reilly when he crossed the border and locked up in Lubyanka Prison. After numerous interrogations they got only little information from him. Stalin ordered his execution. OGPU agents drove with Reilly in the direction of Bogorodsk. He was shot in a forest near Moscow on November 5, 1925. There were some rumors aroused about his death and then it comes to an end later. Year after his death, Reilly, often referred to as the "Ace of Spies". In many ways, he continues to live on in literature, films and in the imagination. And he was the central inspiration for James Bond character.

Formation of Scout

Cover page of "Scouting For Boys" book

Four sides of the world are surrounded with war. The people in affected areas are seeking for the help. And many associations are eager to help for needy people. How do the associations have so much of interest in helping people? Scout is the inspiration for all other associations and it is the fundamental source for serving people.

The great leader Baden Powell

Baden Powell was the founder of scout. He written a book named “Aids to Scouting” in the year 1903 and had become a best seller. Powell surprised to find the boys formed themselves into groups and were calling themselves "Boy Scouts" and they followed the ideas published in the book. Powell decided to rewrite the book to make it suitable for young people and the re-written book was named as "Scouting For Boys". In the year August 1907 Powell with a few adult helpers set up his camp on Brownsea Island with 22 boys. The boys were divided in to Patrols with an older boy in charge of each group. At the camp the boys had a time of their life doing such things as swimming, stalking, hiking and playing games and around the nightly campfire listened to Powell telling stories of his adventures. After the camp Powell finished writing "Scouting for Boys" and was published in 1908. All over the country boys were forming themselves into Scout Troops and were asking adults to lead them. By the end of 1908 Scouting had spread to Ireland, Australia, Canada New Zealand and South Africa. This is how the scout was spread to various parts of the country. There are 155 countries with internationally recognized National Scout Organizations. There are more than 28 million Scouts, youth and adults, boys and girls in 216 countries and territories. Who knows, the movement is still expanding itself to the changes in the world.
The 1st Eden bridge troop of Baden Powell Boy Scouts was run by Mr. C. F Bowen, the first Scout master in February 1908.

Lina Medina - A Child gave birth to a Child

‘The moment a child is born, the mother is also born. She never existed before. The woman existed, but the mother, never. A mother is something absolutely new’ - Rajneesh Simil.

As per the quote when mother yields a child she is also born. But in the case of Lina Medina (born September 27, 1933), a child yields a child. Lina Medina a Peruvian girl from Andean village gave birth to a boy which happened when she was five years, seven months and 21 days old.

In 1939, her father carried Lina into a hospital in the town of Pisco, Peru. He specified to the doctors large tumor that was developing in her abdomen cannot be cured by the doctors in his village. After testing doctors found that the swelling was not due to tumor. Dr. Gerardo Lozada treated Lina. He heard a tiny second heartbeat when he placed his stethoscope on her abdomen. Doctors conformed that Lina was about seven months pregnant. She was immediately transferred to a city hospital in Lima. Lina's father was arrested on suspicion of rape and incest, but was later released due to be short of evidence. On Mother's Day in 1939, when Lina was just under 5 years and 8 months old, her baby was delivered by cesarean section. The boy weighed 2,700 grams or 5.92 pounds, was well formed and was named Gerardo after the doctor who originally diagnosed Lina's pregnancy. The fact is Lina Medina never revealed the father of the child.
